Industrial Project Waterschap De Dommel

A collaboration project between BIOMATH and Waterboard De Dommel, aimed at model improvement on the one side, and on data management and analysis on the other side.


The long-standing collaboration between BIOMATH and Waterboard De Dommel is continued in this project. A model of the WWTP in Eindhoven, The Netherlands is already available for use as a starting point. The continuation of the project aims at:

(1) A continuous calibration and validation of this available WWTP model. This leads to a model applicable for decision support.

(2) Improving the use and management of online data obtained at the WRRF, by providing user-friendly tools.

(3) An increased prediction capacity of the model by applying new modelling frameworks, such as an improved settler model and the application of a compartmental modelling framework.

Apart from this focus on the WWTP model itself, this project is part of a larger modelling effort at Waterboard De Dommel, including sewer and river modelling. This context provides additional feedback and direction to the project executed at BIOMATH.>p\>
