Immission Based real time control of the integrated urban drainage system

The urban drainage system consists out of three parts (sewer system, treatment works, receiving water).
In order to obtain the best possible water quality in the receiving water (lake or river) integration of the whole system is needed. In this integration the receiving water is the goal and the two other subsystems are controlled so that the water quality is the best achievable within the given conditions.
So no more attention is paid to overflow frequencies, or effluent quality (emission based), but only the resulting water quality (immission based).
