Development of a cheap, fast and environmentally friendly method for the quantification of C, N and P in animal slurries


The project aims at the development of a cheap, fast and environmentally friendly method for the quantification of organic material, nitrogen and phosphorous in animal slurries.
The principle is based on the registration of a titrimetric pH-buffer capacity profile, followed by automatic data interpretation of the raw data.
The measurement principle is not influenced by suspended solids and colored samples; hence the usability of the same technique also seems promising for compost samples, certain sewage sludge samples and many other organic waste streams.
